Knight Frank Head of Institutional Sales in WA Nick Charlton said Ben’s appointment would reinforce the strength of Knight Frank’s Capital Markets team in Perth, which also includes Tony Delich and James Baker.
Knight Frank has strengthened its Investment Sales team in Western Australia with a key appointment.
Ben Younger has started with the agency in Perth as Director, Investment Sales.
Ben has made the move after spending nearly 16 years at CBRE Asia Pacific, where he started as Associate Director of Metropolitan Investment Sales in Adelaide before moving to his most recent role with the agency as Director, Capital Markets, Metropolitan Investment Sales in Perth – a role he held for six years.
After leaving CBRE early in 2021, Ben spent nearly a year with developer Collab Capital, but has now returned to real estate sales wishing to work with Nick Charlton at Knight Frank.
His experience in sales spans a total of 24 years, previously having worked in Sales & Marketing for the South Australian Jockey Club and before that, for Rob Younger Real Estate, both in Adelaide.
Significant transactions Ben has been involved in include Kings Square, Fremantle; Bunnings Joondalup; 45 St Georges Terrace, Perth and a significant residential portfolio to Aspen, together with a host of notable development sales for Development WA including Murdoch Health & Knowledge Precinct and Parkside Walk, Jolimont.
Ben has acted for a broad range of private and public companies, government bodies, institutions, receivers/managers and private owners including Development WA, Deloitte, Bunnings, Coles, Caltex, Korda Mentha and Sirona Capital.
Knight Frank Head of Institutional Sales in WA Nick Charlton said Ben’s appointment would reinforce the strength of Knight Frank’s Capital Markets team in Perth, which also includes Tony Delich and James Baker.
“Ben is a proven experienced operator, specialising in the marketing and sale of commercial and retail investment properties, as well as commercial, retail and residential development sites throughout the Perth metropolitan area,” he said.
“Knight Frank’s Investment Sales team has successfully worked well with Ben on many occasions in the past, and we have a shared outlook on clients and how our sales team should operate.
“At Knight Frank Ben will work with myself in institutional and metropolitan sales in Perth. “We are expecting a strong year ahead for investment sales in the city and suburbs.”
Mr Younger said he was excited to be joining Knight Frank in Perth, and enjoying the strong and positive culture of the office.
“I am very pleased to be part of this team where I will continue working in the development, office and retail sectors whilst elevating into the institutional space in working with Nick Charlton,” he said.
“I come with renewed hunger, having genuinely missed the agency world over the past 10 months away from agency in a development management role.
“I will be a strong leader within the group and look to continue to drive the business in a positive direction, and to provide only the best service to our valued clients.”
Knight Frank Managing Director Western Australia Craig Dawson said securing an experienced operator like Ben was a major coup for Knight Frank Perth’s agency.
“Over the past 12 months we have been steadily expanding our agency teams in Industrial, Office Leasing and Retail, and now we are pleased to now announce the expansion of our Investment Sales team,” he said.
“With a number of changes occurring across the West Australian real estate agencies, we feel Knight Frank have been quite strategic in attracting some very talented individuals to complement our established teams.
“The West Australian market is poised to see a recovery, led by strong demand for higher yielding assets, and our Investment Sales team are predicting a surge in activity during 2022.
“The addition of Ben to the business will help us expand our service offerings to our clients.”
